Why Doctor 360

What the GMC say about MSF

To support their revalidation, doctors must collect information about their practice to demonstrate that they are up to date and fit to practice. One type of information that doctors will be required to collect is feedback from colleagues and patients (where appropriate - patient feedback will not be required from doctors that do not have direct patient contact).

Principles and criteria for colleague and patient feedback in revalidation

The GMC has developed draft principles and criteria for colleague and patient feedback for revalidation drawing extensively on work led by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges.

The GMC will require all feedback questionnaires to meet the principles and criteria in order to be acceptable for use in the revalidation of doctors.

The principles and criteria are intended to help those involved in commissioning, developing, implementing and administering feedback systems. It should also provide a guide for doctors using colleague and patient feedback to support their revalidation.

Please note that there are currently no questionnaires approved for use as part of revalidation.

Edgecumbe Doctor 360° will at all times do whatever is necessary to ensure that we comply fully with the GMC requirements.
